At Ascending City Church, our heart is to see people encounter the living God and experience the fullness of life in Him. We are a Spirit-led Pentecostal church plant in the Austin Metro Area, committed to creating a community where faith is strengthened, lives are restored, and purpose is awakened.
Our motto is simple yet powerful: Ignite. Transform. Ascend. We believe God ignites hearts with His presence, transforms lives through the gospel, and calls every believer to ascend into their Kingdom purpose.

OUR MISSION
To fulfil the words of Christ spoken in Matthew 6:10, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven”. Our mission is to serve the present age as kingdom ambassadors in our community and abroad by winning the lost, continuous discipleship and impacting every sphere of influence with the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

CORE BELIEFS

The Bible: We believe that the bible is the only inspired, inerrant and infallible, written word of God.

God: We believe in one God, who is eternally existent in three distinct persons; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ, is the only begotten son of God and that his sacrifice on the cross provides redemption from sin to all will that accept him as their personal Lord and Savior. He is the only way to God.

Confession, Repentance & Salvation: We believe that one must confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that God raised Christ from the dead and repent of their sins, for personal salvation according to Romans 10:9.

Justification, Sanctification & Glorification: We believe that at salvation, the believer is justified and declared righteous through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 5:21). We believe in ongoing sanctification by the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling the believer to live a holy and set-apart life (1 Thessalonians 4:3; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 17:17). We believe in the final glorification of all believers at the return of Jesus Christ, when the Church will be caught up to be with Him forever (Romans 8:30; Philippians 3:20–21; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17)

The Holy Spirit: We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 and that it is given to all believers that ask for it. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a set apart and holy life.

Discipleship: We believe that discipleship is an essential component of Christian growth and development.
Our Leaders
Pastor Ahsan and Lady Diamond Hunter are the founding leaders of Ascending City Church, answering a divine call to plant a Spirit-led ministry in the Austin area. Natives of Chicago, they carry with them a rich history of service to God’s people and a deep passion for seeing lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Ahsan, a preacher, prophet, and seeker of the heart of God, has been preaching since the age of five years old and has faithfully served in ministry since 2013. As a creative visionary, he is passionate about seeing the prophetic promises of God fulfilled in the lives of His people, equipping believers to live boldly in their Kingdom purpose.
Lady Diamond is a devoted wife, mother, and prayer warrior with a true heart for intercession and worship. She has faithfully served in ministry alongside her husband of seven years, carrying a mantle of compassion and a passion for seeing women grow into the fullness of who God created them to be.
Together, Pastor Ahsan and Lady Diamond share a beautiful baby girl, Alena, and remain committed to their call as husband, wife, parents, and spiritual leaders. Their shared vision is to see God ignite hearts, transform lives, and raise up a community of believers who will ascend into their divine destiny.
